Cara
Mía Theatre Company is a non-profit 501(c)(3), founded in 1996
as the first Dallas theatre to focus on Mexican-American theatre.
Since 2002, Cara Mía
expanded its focus to include plays about Latinos from Mexico as well
as from other Latin-American countries to further represent the large
Hispanic population in the United States. Moreover, plays are often bilingual
to bring the Spanish-speaking population and English-speaking population
together.

appreciation and understanding of Chicano and Latino culture through
theatre, literature and educational programs.
